At Narrow Road, we believe lasting change comes from a life transformed by Jesus Christ. However, the life we live in the presence of Christ will not be easy nor will it be without difficult moments, pain, setbacks or failures. Life will still come at us, and yet we will still choose wisely and unwisely. We will follow Christ closely and, at times, from a distance. Scripture calls on us to fight and pray for one another:
Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
The Bible gives us beautiful examples of praying for the increase of one’s knowledge and faith along with a life surrendered to Christ. We see prayers of praise, joy, hope, confession and lament. We see prayer after prayer remembering with thankful hearts, the powerful, lifesaving, miraculous acts of God on behalf of his family. The pages of scripture are riddled with prayers of adoration and worship of our God.
We ask for you to partner with us, as one of our PRAYER WARRIORS. We all need prayer warriors in our life, those that battle for the individual and the collective. If you will choose to partner with us in prayer, we will post general prayer requests here on our site to share with all. However, you will receive special requests, so that you can go to battle, for Narrow Road, the men in our ministry, as well as those who are partnering with us. Above all, we want you to pray for the men of Narrow Road to grow in maturity in their walks with Christ. We believe Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians is a beautiful model of prayer for us to follow. For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Father help our men to know you. To know the breath, width and depth of your love and goodness. May they walk boldly with you and learn to trust and depend on the fullness of who you are. Father, protect them from the enemy, even when that enemy is their own desires and do more in their lives than they could ever think or imagine. Yes Father, that is our prayer for the leadership and ministry partners of Narrow Road as well. We all need your guidance, wisdom, counsel and discernment to grow in our understanding of who you are and what you do. Holy Spirit, we need your guidance and direction that we might know how to follow you every moment of our lives. When temptation comes, as it will, help each of us to trust your amazing power and presence in our lives and to see the truth through the lies so that we might choose righteousness. Thank you for your promise to never leave us, nor forsake us. AMEN!
